The Eater of Souls emsemble poster

Yes, it’s been a bit quiet of late here at but for good reason as I’ve been working very hard on the sequel to Random’s debut adventure last year! But now he is back, and better than before, in a new adventure that will be available from October 1st!

So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the next chapter in the good Cap’s adventures…THE EATER OF SOULS…

Following their explosive battle with the Sandman, and struggling to come to terms with life out in space, the crew of the Venus II decide to throw themselves into a spot of retail therapy on the friendly planet of Genocia.

But almost as soon as they arrive, they realise that this new world is not all that it seems. Outside the splendour and vast wealth of the Grand Chamber lies a neglected wasteland where terror lurks within the poisonous gloom whilst deep within the bowels of the planet lies a terrible secret.

At the very heart of it all is the ruthless leader Consula, whose designs for supremacy mean ultimate devastation to all of those who oppose her. But the greed and corruption of the government is nothing compared to what lurks in the shadows for Random and his friends.

Separated and fighting for their lives, Random, Anji, Jake and Skateboard must work quickly to save the lives of the prisoners stuck in the mines deep below the surface, where death is very close by…

What is the Soul Destroyer? What part does it play in Consula’s diabolical plan? Will Anji ever see her friends again? One thing is for sure. The Eater of Souls is hungry…

This is the SECOND Captain Random adventure.

Exciting stuff, eh!? Now the cat is out of the bag, I suppose I’d better reveal the shiny front cover art from the brilliant Anthony Moorin. Here we go!

Hi readers. Well, what a year we have had, eh?

As 2017 gives way to 2018, I’m left to reflect on what an amazing year it’s been for me, personally.

Not only have I experienced life-changing moments such as my girlfriend and I buying our first house together, but after three years of hard work, Child Out Of Time finally saw the light of day and has been well received by people worldwide! Remember, you can still buy the book here on Amazon in paperback or ebook. I am currently in discussions with major bookstores in the UK with a view to getting my work stocked so you can buy it in shops too!

In the final months of the year, I was hitting the promotion train hard and I wanted to say a massive thanks to Doctor Who Magazine, Cambridge 105 Radio, Radio Free Skaro, The Doctor Who Show, Who’s He? Podcast, Trap One Podcast, Progtor Who and of course our very own Diddly Dum for helping promote the book and of course, the wonderful people who shared or tweeted it too.

It was my third year on the podcast and again a thoroughly enjoyable time on the show with Doc, Mark and Allan. It’s been a busy year with Podcasters Royale too and following an Autumn sabbatical, we got right back on track with a Villains special which was also well received.

Staying with the audio theme, I have also recorded a pilot radio show which I hope will lead to more broadcasting opportunities in the near future. You can find it here on Mixcloud so check it out!

So, what’s going to happen over at Gribble Towers in 2018? More writing and recording, certainly, with yet another new book that I am hoping to bring out in late Spring so keep an eye out for that one!

I’d just like to end by saying a big thank you to everyone who has supported me this year and here’s to the next 12 months!

Happy New Year!
